ABOUT

Hi, I’m Ardyn

WHY I BECAME A THERAPIST: As a young woman in a high-control patriarchal religion, I was disconnected from my body, my mind, and my heart. When the pain of that disconnection became too great, I began my own healing journey - challenging the deeply held beliefs that kept me from experiencing my innate creativity, compassion and inner beauty.

As I found my way back to myself, it became clear that I wanted to help others do the same.

Today, I offer nature-informed therapy and coaching to adults throughout Oregon. Drawing from Jungian psychology, Internal
Family Systems, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Cognitive Therapy, and psychodynamic approaches, I help clients release limiting patterns, reconnect with their inner wisdom, and cultivate lives that feel more authentic, meaningful, and aligned.

I also provide psychedelic preparation and integration counseling, supporting individuals who are exploring transformative experiences within a framework of mindful- ness, deep ecology, and nature-based healing.

More About Me

While healing from my patriarchal training, I uncovered a deep appreciation for all things feminine, and enjoy a reciprocal and abiding relationship with the earth and all She represents.

I love good writing and art of any kind. At times I write and make art of my own. I actively seek out new ideas and experiences through travel, learning to appreciate how other people think and live.

I spend my non-therapist hours discovering ways to express my curiosity, creativity and desire to connect with others.

If suffering alone taught, all the world would
be wise, since everyone suffers. To suffering
must be added mourning, understanding,
patience, love, openness and the willingness
to remain vulnerable.

— Anne Morrow Lindbergh —

Long before I became a therapist, I began my own personal journey of healing - untangling the conditioned beliefs of my youth, confronting generational wounds, and creating a
life of peace and satisfaction.

The experiences chronicled in my journals became the inspiration for my memoire - a story of self discovery, freedom and the emergence of my authentic identity.

My Professional
Background

I received a degree in Sociology from Brigham Young University in 1981. I earned a masters in Social Work, with an emphasis in clinical practice, from Arizona State University in 1991.

I’m a certified Psilocybin Facilitator in the state of Oregon and am currently working toward certification in nature-based therapy through the Center for Nature-based Therapy.
